The Castle of Maarten Maartens House was in the beginning of the 20th century a house of Dutch writer Maarten Maarten (pseudonym of Mr. Dr. J.M.W. van der Poorten Schwartz (1858 -1915). In 1884 the place on the Utrecht hill between Doorn and Maarn was sold and the reconstruction of the building was completed in 1903. The place was also named to "Zonheuvel".
